Anxiety & Food

Welcome to the newest addition to my practice. I have begun working with those who are looking for holistic ways to gain control over their anxiety through the use of food and nutrition. I help clients uncover possible dietary deficiencies that may be contributing to mood disturbances such as anxiety, and help them chose the best anxiety busting foods to promote mental well being! You will also learn how to balance hormones, put an end to those sugar cravings for good, so you can feel great mentally and physically! It truly is all about the mind-body connection.

Did you know that 90% of serotonin is produced in the gut?! This is huge when it comes to uncovering possible deficiencies and gaining control in managing conditions such as anxiety, and in choosing the right foods for your body. If you find yourself chronically anxious, you are certainly not alone! The majority of the population suffers with some sort of anxiety.  I am super passionate about helping you harness the power of nutrition to help find dietary solutions for anxiety as well as other mood imbalances, because I myself have suffered with chronic anxiety as well. My anxiety started at a very young age, and it wasn’t until I reached my 20’s that I really found a connection between what I was eating, and how I was feeling mentally. It took a lot of trial an error, food journaling, and confusion! You don’t have to do it alone, because I am here to help you through the journey.

Foods and underlying deficiencies play a critical role in mental health. Together we will uncover what foods you are eating that may be provoking anxiety, and what possible deficiencies you may be dealing with that make these issues so much worse. We will also work on how to incorporate more of the foods you need to support mental balance, and live a vibrant, healthy life!
